The Wairarapa Railway Restoration Society Inc. is a community group who have undertaken the development of the Carterton Railway Museum, located at the Historic Carterton Railway Station Precinct. The precinct houses not only railway memorabilia of the type used through the Wairarapa since the building of the railway line in the late 1870/80’s, but also items from the local community through to the present day.
