Taverner Keys & Co was born in 1963 when Barry Keys entered into partnership with Douglas Taverner, who had been practising law in Carterton since 1924.
In 2018, Barry was joined in partnership by Penny Elliott, who by then had worked as a lawyer in the Wairarapa for 10 years.
After practising for 58 years, Barry sadly passed away in March 2020.
Christin Schetter joined the Taverner Keys team in August 2020, and the firm continues to care for the needs of their clients who live and work in Wairarapa and beyond.
These needs encompass property work of all kinds – domestic, rural and business conveyancing, Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act issues, resource management issues, relationship property issues – both happy and sad.
Taverner Keys take care of people’s wills, their estates and create powers of attorney. They create and manage trusts. They help people resolve issues of all kinds in all kinds of situations.
Taverner Keys has assisted families over three generations.
