Under the Wai Art umbrella is No. 23 a fun, friendly and vibrant community gallery space filled with art and creativity, to showcase talent in the Wairarapa. Rooms are available for hire, and many beautiful artworks available to view and purchase.
The gallery opened in 2017 and has proved to be successful with many sales and lots of positive feedback from the community. It is run by volunteers, many of whom are artists whose works are on the walls. Our aim is to provide a supportive and caring exhibition space for artists in the Wairarapa.
For many of the artists it is the first time seeing their work in a Gallery. There is a monthly exhibition called WAM (Wai Art Monthly), where 3 panels are dedicated to this and showcases a variety of artworks from various artists.
We hope you enjoy your visit and please come back frequently, as the walls are forever changing so we can give you a new landscape to look at each time! The gallery is at 23 Holloway Street and open between Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 3.30pm.
