Anna Betham opened Wairarapa Sports Podiatry on the 13th of January 2020 (just before lockdown!) She wanted to provide the Wairarapa with a specialist podiatrist service that focused on the patient first, in a nurturing and warm environment. Anna’s passion lies in keeping people active so they can do the things they love. She really gets a kick out of helping people and educating people on preventive measures for their foot health and overall well being.
She wanted to be able to set up a practice where she could use all the skills she had developed working in Australia in Sports Medicine and over the last 21 years of private practice. Having her own practice allows Anna to treat and manage patients in a way that is unique to her and the expertise she has.
Podiatrists are foot and lower limb specialists and you don’t need a GP referral to see them. They treat all conditions of the foot, ankle and lower limb and ensure that they communicate with your other health professionals so you are supported holistically in your rehabilitation and treatment. Podiatrists are your first point of contact for any foot pain/conditions.
At Wairarapa Sports Podiatry they have specialised skills in treatment and management of lower limb conditions. They customise each and every management plan to our patients and this may or may not include an orthotic or insole. They use the most up to date technology in 3D printing and digital scanning and have a range of options for any budget.
