Wairarapa Eggs

Chris and Sunny of Wairarapa Eggs purchased a farm off her parents when Chris was 26, 8 years ago. About 5 years ago they closed the Masterton based farm down and built a purpose built free range farm on Chester Road in East Taratahi.

Chis is a baker by trade and trained under Mike and John Kloeg at Ten O’Clock Cookie. While he enjoyed the work unfortunately there was no way forward in the business with the top spots taken by the father/ son team so when the opportunity came up to purchase the farm- Chris jumped at it!

He describes his business, Wairarapa Eggs, as Quality, Local and Family Focused. He would love to raise people's awareness of his business, located at 360 Chester Road, and their ability to pop by and buy farm fresh eggs from the Barn Door. He also sells his eggs at Carterton New World and online at www.wairarapaeggs.co.nz.

Chris’s favourite thing about Carterton is our amazing array of cafes as well as the Chester Road view of the Tararuas. His business tip is to surround yourself with people who can help and guide you. Don’t be too full of yourself that you think you know it all- there are always people who know more and would love to help you out.

Check them out at 360 Chester Road where they sell their farm fresh eggs from the barn door or visit them online at www.wairarapaeggs.co.nz.
